Our unsealed PTFE electrochemical cell is a specialized vessel carved entirely from high quality Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon).
Why Choose PTFE Over Glass?
Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) Resistance: Glass dissolves in HF. PTFE is the primary choice for experiments involving fluorides or strong alkaline solutions (high pH) that would etch glass.
Contamination-Free: PTFE is chemically inert and has an ultra-smooth surface, preventing trace metal adsorption which is critical for high-purity electroanalysis.
