Silver Electroless Plating B725, 1 kg, SANCHE®

Rp123.00

Our Silver Electroless Plating apply a uniform layer of silver onto both conductive and non-conductive surfaces (like glass, plastics, and ceramics) without using electricity.

Applications:

  1. Mirrors & Optics: This is the standard method for "silvering" glass. It creates a highly reflective surface that is superior to aluminum for telescope mirrors and decorative glass.

  2. Electronics (EMI/RFI Shielding): Silver has the highest electrical conductivity of any metal. Electroless plating is used to coat plastic housings for medical devices and cell phones to block electromagnetic interference.

  3. Aerospace: Used for solar reflectors and thermal control surfaces due to its low emissivity.

  4. 3D Printing & Ceramics: Provides a conductive base layer on non-metal parts so they can be further electroplated with other metals.

Common process steps:

  1. Activation: For non-conductive surfaces (like glass), the part is first dipped in our activation solution.

  2. Plating: The activated part is submerged in the the silver bath.

  3. Top-Coating: Because silver tarnishes (oxidizes) quickly, a protective lacquer is often applied over it.
