Our Silica Nanoparticle Additive Liquids consist of nano-sized SiO2 particles dispersed in water. It is used to drastically improve the mechanical, optical, and surface properties of coatings, polymers, and resins.
Key Applications:
Mechanical Reinforcement: Significantly increases scratch and abrasion resistance in clearcoats and flooring without affecting transparency.
Rheology & Stability: Acts as a thixotropic agent, preventing pigments from settling and controlling the "sag" (dripping) of paints on vertical surfaces.
.Surface Modification: Enhances anti-blocking (prevents plastic films from sticking) and provides anti-slip properties for paper and cardboard packaging.
Hydrophilicity: Can be used to modify the surfaces which aids in anti-fogging or self-cleaning applications.
