Our PTFE Vessel is the heavy-duty workhorse for high-pressure and high-temperature chemical reactions. Unlike wash bottles, these are designed for containment and digestion.

Highlights:

  • Thermal Limits: Safely handles continuous temperatures up to 240°C (with a peak of 260°C).

  • Pressure Resistance: When paired with a stainless steel high-pressure reactor, they can withstand pressures up to 3MPa (30 Bar) or higher.

  • Purity: PTFE is "chemically clean," meaning it won't leach metal ions into your sample, making it the gold standard for trace element analysis.

Main application:

1. Laboratory & Research:

  • Acid Digestion: Used in sample preparation for ICP-MS, where samples are dissolved in concentrated acids (like HF or nitric acid) at high temperatures and pressures to analyze trace metals.

  • Hydrothermal Synthesis: Serves as a corrosion-resistant liner inside stainless steel autoclaves to synthesize nanoparticles or zeolites at high pressures.

  • Microwave Chemistry: Because PTFE is transparent to microwave energy, it is used as the reaction vessel in microwave digestion systems to achieve rapid heating.

2. Semiconductor Manufacturing

  • Wet Process Equipment: Essential for wafer cleaning and etching, where PTFE-lined baths and tanks handle aggressive chemicals without leaching contaminants that could ruin silicon chips.

  • Chemical Delivery: Used in ultra-pure chemical distribution systems, including pumps, valves, and vessels, to ensure zero back-diffusion of metal ions.

3. Industrial Chemical Processing

  • Corrosive Material Transport: Used as inert linings for large steel columns, storage tanks, and reactors used for distilling or washing highly corrosive media like hydrochloric or sulfuric acid.

  • Pharmaceutical & Food: Applied in bio-containment vessels and mixing tanks where non-stick properties prevent bacterial buildup and ensure FDA-compliant purity.

4. Energy Storage

  • Lithium Battery Production: PTFE-lined vessels are utilized in manufacturing lithium-ion battery components that require a strictly controlled, contaminant-free environment for safety and performance.
