PTFE Measuring Cylinder, Silinder Pengukur, 10 ml

Rp123.00

Our PTFE measuring cylinder (or graduated cylinder) is used for measuring volumes of highly corrosive liquids that would damage or be contaminated by traditional glass or plastic cylinders.

Key Features:

  • Universal Chemical Resistance: PTFE offers resistance to virtually all strong acids (including hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, and nitric acid), strong bases, and organic solvents. The only exceptions are certain alkali metals in molten form and highly reactive fluorinating agents.

  • Wide Temperature Range: These cylinders are highly stable across a broad thermal spectrum, typically from -200°C to +250°C (some variants up to 280°C), allowing for versatility in various lab conditions.

  • Contamination-Free: Made from pure virgin PTFE, the super-smooth internal surface finish prevents the leaching of trace impurities that can occur with glass, which is crucial for sensitive analytical techniques like ICP-MS.

  • Durability: Unlike fragile glass cylinders, PTFE measuring cylinders are robust, impact-resistant, and highly durable, ensuring a longer lifespan in the lab.

  • Design: They typically feature a stable hexagonal or cylindrical base and a pouring spout. They are available in various capacities, including 10ml, 25ml, 50ml, 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, and 1000ml volumes.

Main applications:

PTFE measuring cylinders are ideal for critical applications where purity and chemical resistance are paramount:

  • Handling Hydrofluoric Acid (HF): As HF rapidly etches glass, PTFE is the standard material for measuring or storing this acid.

  • Trace Metal Analysis: Preventing contamination from leached ions during sample preparation for sensitive analysis.

  • High-Purity Work: Used in pharmaceutical and specialty chemical manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity
