Copper Electroplating B814, 25 kg, SANCHE®

Rp123.00

Copper electroplating is the process of electrolytically depositing a layer of copper onto a conductive surface. It is a cornerstone of the plating industry because copper provides excellent electrical conductivity, acts as a superb "base coat" for other metals, and has natural antimicrobial properties.

The common process flow:

  1. Surface Prep: Parts undergo ultrasonic cleaning and acid pickling to remove oils and oxides.

  2. The Cell: The object to be plated is the cathode  and high-purity copper anodes supply the metal ions

Key Applications:

  1. Electronics. It is the primary method for creating conductive traces on PCBs and connecting layers in semiconductors.

  2. Undercoating: Used as a "primer" for nickel and chrome plating to improve adhesion and provide a smooth, pore-free surface.

  3. Automotive: Found in radiators, bushings, and decorative trim.

  4. EMI Shielding: Applied to plastic housings of electronic devices to block electromagnetic interference.
